Schedule of late has been truly bizarre; instead of a lighter schedule over Chinese New Year "vacation" (four days), I had more classes. Just recovering from that, kinda need a break after my vacation. Next Tuesday is 2/28, a national holiday in Taiwan, the anniversary of Chiang kai-shek's soldiers firing on innocent civilians and killing a score of them. This was followed by a general bloodletting that was in the thousands (tens of thousands?), recently chronicled in a study by the Academica Sinica.

Camino Rocks!

Thanks to Blogenlust for the tip. Able to import bookmarks with one click, and pages load much faster. See now that Opera has a Bittorrent plugin built-in. May give it a whirl.

Browsers

Going to give Camino a try. Better than Firefox? Let's see. If I can avoid doing html and import all my bookmarks, then I'll be sold.

La Nina

Weird weather still going on. Don't know if it's La Nina or just everyday global warming. 25 degrees and sunny one day, then 12 degrees and rainy the very next.

Monkey Off

Finally able to get things together after this mini-vacation. Lots of sleep and pasta will do that for you. Just added a couple of DVDs to my collection --I generally buy second-hand from a nearby shop-- and man, what a waste. Granted, they were only $NT99 each (3 for $NT198) but serious sound of money sliding down the drain. Aliens Vs. Predator and A Series of Unfortunate Events, dogs both. Maybe some enterprising junkman can make a couple of NT recycling them, 'cos they're going in the bin.
